Our Mission

RepairCert NZ's mission is to provide expert advice and technical support to the Specialist Repair Certification community, to ensure consistently safe and cost-effective repair outcomes for New Zealand’s motoring public.

NZTA has contracted RepairCert NZ (an independent organisation) to assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of the repair certification system, ensuring that the system is fit for purpose.

This includes:

  • Assessment of prospective Repair Certifiers.
  • Induction and practical training and for newly appointed Repair Certifiers.
  • Annual Repair Certifier training programmes.
  • Technical and operational support for Repair Certifiers.
  • Repair Certifier annual one-on-one On-site Visits (a ‘how can we help?’ catch-up between a Repair Certifier and a RepairCert NZ technical staff member).
  • Repair Certification File Review (desktop auditing) system, with associated coaching for Repair Certifiers
  • Helpdesk support for the autobody repair industry and members of the public.
  • Publication of RepairCert NZ Updates (which can be found on this website, under ‘Resources’)
  • Technical and operational document development.
  • Assistance with resolution of complaints and disputes.
