An industry article argues that some OEM repair information does not provide a sufficiently clear yes-or-no answer about when ADAS calibration is required. Repair planners and technicians may therefore interpret similar repairs differently, increasing inconsistency and liability risk. 

Why this matters for Repair Certifiers

Repair Certifiers should not rely solely on the absence of an explicit calibration instruction in one procedure. All applicable OEM information should be reviewed, including position statements, prerequisite operations, component removal procedures, diagnostic instructions, and calibration matrices.
