The I-CAR best-practice document covering collision repair facilities and equipment. The document was developed through the I-CAR Repairability Summit process, which brings together representatives from across the collision repair industry.

The intent is to help repair businesses align their facilities, tools and equipment with the requirements needed to complete safe and quality repairs.

Why this matters for Repair Certifiers

Having access to a repair procedure does not establish that a repairer has the capability to carry it out. Repair Certifiers may also need to consider whether the repair facility has suitable measuring, welding, joining, lifting, diagnostic, calibration, and safety equipment for the particular repair.
